What to expect at a Birdsong Yoga Physio class?

  • Completely accessible and modified yoga physio - in a chair, on a plinth and with cushions and props

  • Friendly class mates

  • Knowledgeable and skilled physio and yoga teacher leading the classes

  • Relaxation or yoga nidra as part of the 'Reconnect' class

Who come to the classes?

  • Birdsong Yoga Physio classes are open to anyone with a long term, incurable condition or a palliative illness. Examples of these might be cancer, COPD, MND, MS, Parkinsons, bronchiectasis, arthritis .... basically any illness or condition that you are living with that makes moving or breathing harder than it used to be.

What are the benefits?

  • Research into yoga for people with these sorts of illnesses has shown that it can improve strength, balance, breathlessness, fatigue and mood.
